An Important Note from the 1,465 Team

The team at 1,465 or Bust is standing in solidarity with those who lost their lives to police brutality and with the Black Lives Matter movement.

During this time, we will be posting about Ohio Historical Markers honoring black historic figures. While this series was originally intended to be used next February for Black History Month; now seems like the appropriate time.

As you read our subsequent posts, please remember the shear importance of these histories. This series is meant to serve as a reminder of the marginalization of African Americans throughout history (it is important to note that there are not many historical markers dedicated to black Ohioans). This is also a time to reflect on the lives that have been lost. We will never know what lives these victims would have led if given the chance. We do not know what kind of important mark on the world their loved ones may have left if their world had not been shaken. Please protect the future of black history. Know that black lives matter. Always.

If you are interested in following along with our posts on black history consider following us on Facebook or subscribing to our website on the homepage.

As always thank you for your support.

See you at the next marker!
